Resistance

Do you know that I was dreaming again about you
I was flying
and your eyes glowed like the first time

Did I mention that you linger in my thoughts
and hover over my life
like a hunter for my flesh

Is it okay if I take myself
and slowly chip away the remnants of your being
so I can keep the bits of sane thoughts remaining in my mind

Would you mind if I decide to hide inside
a place that you don't know about
so I can recoil from your "I love yous"
and your chanting of my name

Isn't it a paradox
that I make you whole
yet I become unsolid
like liquid about to merge
into someone other than me

Now, if I were to say that I don't love you
Would you believe me?
