Blue Nights
Written by: nabraska, PoetrysChild, moyamba, FaShaBaby (Janis A. Dizon), shawnienkc (LaShawn), Fanesse

In the dark of midnight
lies a maze of emotional light,
guiding glaciers to new destinations
enjoying the journey taking flight

The flight of bird that is heard
but not seen
and in the span of wings, a fog
blurs things that are stirred

Like ideas and hopes
the things that silently form
while you're listlessly lying awake
hoping you'll fall asleep before day breaks

Dreams in cahoots with the dark
the light that binds weaves forth
and the certainty of arrival remains strong
you fly and you find your dreams along

Displayed in color and black and white
guiding your flight plan through the night
pushing away the nightmares of defeat
empowering your wings to meet the goal you seek

Detailed plans, maps, and compasses
lead the journey of night meandering
this flame of life is full of promises
renewal is found in the wick of morning
