Guarantees
I wanted to include some of my thoughts on guarantees on my dogs that I sell. I have a policy which I have always used and it has worked very well for me. I am very proud that my guarantee is second to none. I've never met anyone that had a guarantee as good as mine but that's not why I have it. I guarantee my dogs like I do, because of my conscious. Pomeranians have alot of health issues. After being in the breed 20 years I see that some breeders are starting to do some health screening but it is really a drop in the bucket.  So first of all I recomend that anyone getting a dog from me takes the dog to the vet, pronto. This needs to be done in the first three days and may require you making the appointment before you even have the puppy or adult dog.

I will replace the dog with a full refund within seven working days of purchase. And I will replace the dog with proof of a cogenital defect at a young age, if your dog gets sick and you lose them.

I try not to sell show dogs too young, pomeranians and havanese can change dramatically as they age and what may seem like a show prospect one day can become a pet another. But Any person that is unhappy with any dog that they have purchased from me I hope to be able to reach a compromise. I want my dogs to be placed where they are happiest and wanted.

Now my last word is one of warning. As the world is quickly changing there are more and more con artists out there. Even I was a party to one myself. I bought a havanese from a friend of a friend referral and ended up getting conned out of $1000. There are alot of unscrupulous people out there and breeders that come across very nice and ethical. UNTIL they get your money. Then it ALL changes. You may be very good at reading people but these people are experts at decieving you. You can read my own experiences here and hopefully learn from my mistakes.

Some of the problems you can run into are:

1. The breeder doesn't give you the akc papers.

Most of the time they will tell you they haven't mailed them off or some other excuse like they were lost in the mail.

2. They give you papers but not for the dog you purchased.

3. They sell you a sick dog, getting sick within 10 days after purchase.

To safeguard againist problems such as these, you can ask that the breeder go ahead and register, dna and microchip the puppy. That way when you get the puppy all you need to do is check the microchip againist the papers.

If you buy a dog and get it dna'ed and it's not who the breeder told you it was, it doesn't matter. The dogs registration gets cancelled, if you've bred them all the pups get their papers cancelled and if you've won any titles they get cancelled. This can be heartbreaking.
