The NYPD force split up. Duo, Hilde, Trowa, and Cathrine took one patrol car and chose to head down Main Street. Quatre, Dorothy, Sally, and Wufei chose to take a detour down Fifth Avenue. Zechs, Noin, Treize, and Une decided to head down Madison Avenue, where CyberBiotics was located.
They were to enter CyberBiotics from different directions to distract the security guards. Relena and Heero were to enter through the skylight, avoiding the lasers and security cameras.
As Hilde and Duo drove through the darkened alleys, with Trowa and Cathrine in the back of the car, Duo decided to tell the young woman beside him about something that had been on his mind for a long time.
"UhHilde?"
"What's that, Braid Boy?" Hilde turned to face him, her small hands fiddling with her bulletproof vest.
"Iwantyoutobemywife."
The American said it in such a rush that the others had to strain to hear him. Hilde pouted. "What the ~!? Duo, if it ain't that important, shut up and keep driving."
"Hilde! It IS!"
"Then slow the fuck down and start from the beginning. No one's chasing us." Hilde massaged the bridge of her nose, hoping that it wasn't another corny joke. 'I don't wanna knowI don't wanna know'
" Seven words, Hilde. 'I. Want. You. To. Be. My. Wife.' There, I said it. Are you happy?"
Cathrine and Trowa face-faulted. Duo, proposing? Both wondered if the young man had inhaled swamp gas on that last vacation the team had.
Hilde blushed pink, unmindful of the two pairs of eyes peering from the backseat. "IIoh, Duo! I don't know what to say!" (A.N: Neither do I ^_^)
"Just say yes or no, Hilde."
"YES!"
Hilde threw her arms around Duo and smothered his face with kisses. The car veered off into the wrong lane and Trowa nudged Duo. "Watch the road or I'll write you a ticket for recklessness, Maxwell."
Cathrine cocked her gun, eyeing the American. "Duo, I suggest you keep the mushy stuff for later, or else I will be forced to use my secret weapon on you."
The couple broke apart, laughing. "You're just jealous, Trowa," Duo taunted, sticking his tongue out. The young agent rolled his eyes. "WhateverJust DRIVE, Maxwell."

"Are you sure you can do this 'Lena?" Zechs' voice interrupted Relena's concentration for a moment and she rolled her eyes. She stopped her climbing and hung onto her rope with one hand, adjusting her hearing aid with the other. (A.N: Picture the couple climbing a HUGE skyscraper, dangling from ropes 150 floors up high! And then Relena stops climbing and grips her rope like so with one hand and turns a little to the left like so...*scary*)
Tapping on the hearing aid wired to her ear, she grinned. "Big brother, if you let me do this, I promise you a surprise for later." The captain momentarily chuckled and replied, "Fine, fine. Be careful."
A static sound crackling in her hearing aid confirmed that her transmission was dwindling. Heero looked at her.
"Having second thoughts, Peacecraft?"
She snorted derisively. "Who do I look like? Sara Lee?" (*The spoken line was shamelessly pilfered from some dirty book the author had read*;P hehehe)
Heero momentarily chuckled. "Your sarcasm is refreshing."
"Welp, that's what I'm for, Yuy."
The pair continued on in silence, scaling the treacherous high wall of CyberBiotics. A sudden wind whipped right through Relena's suit, making her shiver. She clenched her jaw in concentration, careful not to lose her grip. Every now and then she glanced at Heero, who was having no difficulty in his steady ascent. 'Damn...he must be used to this,' she thought.
Heero grunted, his muscles flexing from the exertion. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Relena casting semi-worried glances at him. 'Is she worried about me?' he wondered, surveying her slender form encased in a black suit. Heat momentarily surged through his loins, picturing the lean muscles hidden beneath her curves. 'Damn is she ever SEXY!'
"Don't worry, 'Lena. We're good here."
"I didn't say anything, Heero."
"Just reassuring you."
Relena smiled. "I don't need reassurance, Heero. I need YOU."
"The feeling's mutual, Relena," he murmured, nearly forgetting what he was doing at the moment. Their patience was rewarded when they finally reached the top of CyberBiotics. Relena took one look at the lights below and inhaled sharply. They were WAY up high and one careless move would have ensured them a graceful plummet to their deaths.
'Thank God for the ropes...' Her thoughts came to an abrupt halt when Heero gestured for her to help him open the skylight in order for them to infiltrate the laboratory. Grimacing a little, she pushed, pulled, and wrenched along with Heero until they succeeded in opening the delicate glass.
"After you," he whispered, pausing to push away his untamed bangs from his eyes to get a better look at her. She snapped on the special visor Dr. J had invented so she could see how the lasers were criss-crossed.
There were a lot of spaces she could probably squeeze into if she were careful enough. If she could do her flips and crawls properly, she would have no trouble disabling them. (A.N: I was thinking something like Catherine Zeta Jones in "Entrapment" and Cameron Diaz in "Charlie's Angels"...)
"Piece of cake."
Heero pulled her close and gave her a quick kiss. "I believe in you, baby."
Relena nodded and began her descent, landing in the center of the lasers. She inhaled slowly and began the gymnastic routine that she had practiced. Every twist, cartwheel, and backflip was crucial. She could feel her heart thumping wildly in her chest when she momentarily faltered and nearly lost her balance.
As soon as she came to the more intricate lasers, she slowly got down to her knees and eased though the gaps. They were small and she silently thanked her brother for imposing the strict exercise regimen that kept her and the rest of the NYPD in shape.
Heero watched her from his perch, his blue eyes glittering. He had confidence in her because she felt for him. And because he felt for her. Because she felt for everyone. Beneath her fiesty exterior was a heart big enough to encompass every individual in the love she gave. And she had given him so much already. As soon as they would finish, he would show her that HE could be all give. He would prove that he didn't only know how to take.
Relena finally reached the panel hiddn in one corner. She heaved a sigh of relief and carefully opened the panel, following the combination of numbers she had been given. A green light confirmed her success and she nodded up at Heero.
'All clear,' she mouthed. Heero joined her and soon, they found themselves racing through a long maze of corridors, the adrenaline rushing through them anew.
