| Fifth and second graders started the year learning about the invention process. We learned to modify and combine existing inventions to create new products. Fifth graders will have an Invention Convention to share their original ideas. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Third graders have been studying volcanoes in their unit, Pele's Peak. After learning about Pele, the goddess of fire, the students wrote original myths. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Fourth graders are trying to solve mystery of the durian, an odiferous plant that grows in the rainforest. Some of the plants are not blooming and our FOCUS scientists are experimenting to find a solution. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
