She's 'Flor de Luna' no more
Actress Janice de belen on Thursday said she is happy with the blessing coming her way after her separation with estranged husband actor-comedian John Estrada.

De Belen who gained fame for her underdog role in the soap opera Flordeluna, added that she is ahppy that people no longer perceive her as a martyr-separated wife. "Many women come to me, admiring me.  I tell them I am not a role model.  Do not follow my decision.  I tell them is (separation) what you want?  Pray for it hard and be strong, "she said.

De Belen filed a petition for the annulment of her nine-year marriage to Estrada, citing his psychological incapacity.

She, however, clarified that she still respects Estrada despite his reported illicit liaison with young actress Vanessa de Bianco.

"He is still the father of my children."

Now leading a seemingly content life apart from her ex-hubby, de Belen said she is no longer on the warpath against Estrada.

"What's the us of mudslinging?  So many things have been said.  Will I be able to bring back the past? Will it bring back my marriage?"

Still mending a broken heart, de Belen  said she keeps herself busy with carrer opportunities and wants to continue her studies.  She intends to enroll at the Ateneo and study psychology.

"Some say, 'is Luigi (enrolling?)' I reply "No, but I am!"

The actress said going back to school also helps her regain her self-worth.

"It's never too late, even if my classmates are half my age,"  she said with a laugh.
"It's a way of bringing back my self-confidence."

De Belen hold the talk show Sis with sister actress Gelli De Belen.
