The Janice de Belen Way. There are a lot of women like actresses and TV hosts Janice de Belen and Pops Fernandez who will endure infidelity for as long and as hard they can-but only up to a certain point. That point being, as Janice put it, when one has run out of tears."Sobra na, tama na!" is the mantra of this Way.

In this case of "enough is enough," women pull themselves together, take a deep breath, take a leap, and don't look back once they've landed and gathered their bearings. Their "cutting" themselves off is their way of declaring, "I don't deserve such crap (infidelity) anymore."

The "cut" may be radical but to the ladies it is a fresh way of starting over-albeit at a cost, with a family sadly left broken in its wake. Which is not to say that it is the ladies' fault; unfortunately, the consequences precisely prove how much havoc infidelities wreak.

Women who choose this Way, of course, will argue that it is better to have a broken home than one in which the spouses "don't love each other anymore" and live in a "sham".

Advocates of marriage will disagree, of course, pointing to the indissolubility of marriage and how, if couples really want to, they can patch up their differences. "Kung gusto, may paraan; kung ayaw, may dahilan!" they point out.

The problem is, at the core of this Way is loss of trust and confidence; the ladies who choose it reach a point where they either don't or refuse to trust their husbands anymore. And as happens all too often, love quickly dissolves in the absence of trust.
