OILS
You want to make sure the oil you use to massage your baby is a safe and nourishing combination. Vegetable or plant oil is recommended because they are easily absorbed into the baby's skin and easily digested if the baby sucks on his/her hand. The molecules of your traditional baby are oil are too large to be readily absorbed into the skin, therefore when rubbed on a baby's body, it forms a clear synthetic coating over the largest breathing organ of the human body, which is the skin. If you are concerned about your baby having a reaction to the oil, do a patch test first on the back of the baby's hand to see if there are any adverse reactions. Wait at least one hour after the patch test before beginning the massage.
