Robert Louis Stevenson (1850 - 1894) born in Scotland.
Died in Apia, American Samoa.
Fanny, his wife, died at Santa Barbara in 1914, also from a cerebral hemorrhage,
and her ashes were placed with Louis' in Samoa.
Gelett Burgess designed their tomb, bearing Stevenson's famous Requiem,
first drafted in San Francisco when he thought he was going to die:
The tomb also bears Ruth's speech to Naomi in Samoan;
And his verses quoted earlier.
"Teacher, tender, comrade, wife."
