Influences on Literature
Throughout his life, Frost went through many things that influenced his writing. He was also affected by many people which also was reflected through his poems: lt Whitman's early life certainly left a steady influence on his writing. Some of the most predominant influences are:

-Death in the Family: At a young age, Frost's father died of tuberculoses. Also, two of Frost's children died. These deaths in the family affected Frost greatly and are reflected through poems, "Home Burial" being one of them.

-Nature: Nature seems to be one thing evident in all of Frost's poems. He makes it a point to include nature as a comparison to something else. Obviosly nature is a key element in his mind and he utilizes it so much because he thinks it is something that everyone can relate to and understand.

-New England: Frost used New England speech patterns in his poems. Because he moved there, we can see the influence that this place had on him. Because this was where he advanced his education the most, Frost was thankful of New England and felt it to be a place where education prospered and it was where he was published.

-Elinor Miriam White:
Elinor was Frost's wife. She encourged Frost and challenged him with his studies. She was the great woman behind this man and influenced him by supporting him and pushing him to be the best he could possibly be.
