| Size 18"x18" - This challenge commemorated my guild's fifth anniversary year. We were to make a quilt having "five" of something. The idea and designs for my quilt came from a quilt/patterns in Miniature Quilts magazine, issue #29, and Elizabeth Root's Hawaiian Appliqu�. Hoffman batiks were used for appliqu� and outer border. Border quilting was done around the printed leaves and then echoed to look like waves. This quilt now hangs in my parents' "Hawaiian" powder room. | | |
