| July 2006 Dear Reader, “Stand fast, therefore in the liberty with which Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1 It’s summer time here in the Pacific Northwest and my heart rejoices in
the beauty of God’s world all around me. What fun it is to participate in the variety of outdoor
activities we have available to us. My husband and I love to bicycle along the Centennial Trail,
The Hiawatha Trail, and the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes. There’s something about a gentle
early morning summer breeze blowing over your face and body as you pedal along; the green
beauty of a pine forest on either side of the asphalt trail; the moist earthy smells as the steam rises
off a secluded body of water; the honking voice of a flock of Canadian geese flapping there wings
to escape our intrusion. Truly God designed the natural world to remind us of Him. He cares for
us in a myriad of ways. I hope you’ll take the time to enjoy God through the world He has
created. Let your prayers of praise to our heavenly Father demonstrate the spirit of freedom you
have in Christ. Tell someone today how they can experience that same freedom from sin when
they accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. Live for Him in peace and joy. ~ janet |
