| SAM'S UPDATE | ||||||||||
| Hey Everyone!!!! In my last e-mail I talked about some really exciting thing coming up for some of the dancers here at OCU this year, but did not go into any details. I did not want to say anything to early just in case things did not work out. Well, now I can tell you because it is official. I will be performing in �The Oklahoma Centennial Spectacular.� There are 8 girls and 8 guys dancing with the Broadway star Kelli O'Hara to open the show. Kelli was nominated for a Tony a few years ago and is starring in the revival of �South Pacific� on Broadway starting in March. The Spectacular is at the Ford Center in down town Oklahoma City. The Ford center is about the size of the Target Center only a little bigger. Some of the other acts in the show are��.. Reba McEntire, Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, and Carrie Underwood, Just to name a few. So this show is SOOOOOOOOOOO BIG. I also think it will be on national television, so you may all get to watch it. I can�t even say how excited I am about this. To be in a show this big is a dream of mine, one that I did not think I would be accomplishing at 20 years old. We just got done with the rehearsals for the show. The choreographer for the dance is Michael Clowers, who I worked with two years ago at Dance Olympus. Some of you may remember him. He was the guy with the red tap shoes. The show is November 16.
