In this PowerPoint presentation, I have included three (3) different examples involving different shapes each come with a solution on how to solve the problem. These are only solutions and there are some other ways to solve the problems. (Diagrams are not drawn to scale)

 

Apart from these examples, I have two different activities carried out using the Hot Potatoes. They are matching exercise and a cloze passage. The matching exercise is suitable for revision exercise where pupils are test on their formulae of some basic shapes. The cloze passage involves a word problem on finding the area of the shaded part.

 

Furthermore, there is an additional activities where pupils are able to enhance their understanding regarding this topic.
