1. William Harrison Jackson was born in Alabama. He enlisted in the Civil War on 9 Sep 1861, at Camp Moore, LA. His military record shows him wounded and left at Murfreesboro on 31 Dec 1863, but was later shown as a prisoner of war captured at Missionary Ridge, Tennessee, on 25 Nov 1863.He was then sent to Military Prison in Louisville, Kentucky, on 7 Dec 1863, from there to Camp Chase, Ohio; finally transferred to City Point, VA, on 2 Apr 1863 where he was finally exchanged. Family tradition states that William Jackson was killed during the Civil War and although this has never been proven.
2. Henry Clay Jackson was born in Alabama. He enlisted in the Civil War on 9 Sep 1861 to fight for the Confederate cause. Henry's war history is sketchy, he was listed sick in several hospitals, and the last known record occurred in Sep 1863. Family tradition also states that this son was killed or died during the war, but likewise no proof of that has been located.
3. Mary Jane Jackson was born in Alabama. She married Frank S. Crager on 5 Mar 1865 in Sabine Parish, LA. and two children were born.

4. Susan Rebecca Jackson was born in Alabama. She married William J. Dennis on 4 Dec 1865 in Rapides Parish, LA. and eight children were born. William was born 14 Mar 1837 and died 3 Jul 1899. Susan died Dec 1930 and they are buried in Pine Island Cemetery, Simpson, LA.

5. Emily Frances Jackson was born in Alabama. She married Benjamin Hicks on 15 Jun 1870 in Rapides Parish, LA and four children were born. Benjamin was born in 1837 and died 11 Feb 1902. Emily died 3 Feb 1924 and they are buried in Pine Island Cemetery, Simpson, LA.

6. Elizabeth Taylor Jackson was born in Alabama. She married Wesley Allen Jackson on 16 Nov 1867 and eleven children were born. Wesley was born 11 Dec 1846 in Alabama, the son of Allen W. Jackson and Mahala Harmon and died 18 Apr 1919 in Louisiana. Elizabeth died 13 Jun 1930 and they are buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Simpson, LA.
Although these two Jackson families were not related, several of their children married, causing much confusion with future generations as to which Jackson was related to which family.
