Rebecca L. Tippit, sister of William J. Tippit, was born ca. 1834 in Alabama and died 15 May 1919 in Rapides County, Louisiana. She married Alfred Davis in 5 Jul 1851, in Smith Co. MS and four children are known.  Alfred Davis, son of Abel Davis and Nancy (?) was born ca. 1830-31 in Alabama. Alfred enlisted in the Civil War and was died Jan 1862, Taylorsville, Smith County, MS. Sometime after 1870 and prior to 1880, Rebecca Davis and her children moved to Rapides Parish LA. , near her brother William J. Tippit. She is buried at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Simpson, Vernon Parish,  LA. the issue: 1. Daniel Davis - ca. 1852-3, MS 2. William Thomas Davis - ca. 1855-6, MS 3. Mary Davis - ca. 1857-8, MS 3. Emily Davis - ca. 1861-2, MS 1. Daniel Davis died ca. 1890 in Louisiana. He moved to Louisiana with his mother after 1870, where he married Asne (?). Asne was born ca. 1856 in LA, as were her parents. It is not known  how many children were born to this union, however we do have the names of three sons. William may be buried in Becon Cemetery, Hornbeck LA. the issue: 1. Lewis J. Davis 2. Alfred Davis 3. Willie G. Davis 2. William Thomas Davis was born in Mississippi. He married Azinia Perkins and five children were born. the issue: 1. Rebecca Davis 2. Alfred Davis 3. Erasmus "Roz" Davis 4. Fannie Davis 5. Martha Harriet Davis 3. Emily Davis was born in Mississippi and died in 1930 in Louisiana. She married Sanford Maddison Trotti in LA and eight children were born. Sanford was born in 1860 in Texas and died in 1937. the issue: 1. Olla E. Trotti 2. Sanford Madison Trotti Jr. 3. William Trotti 4. Lawrence Trotti 5. Joshua Trotti 6. Stella Trotti (twin) 7. Della Trotti (twin) 8.
