" David Jackson came to Jessamine County with his father-in-law, Martin Dickerson, about 1790. His son James (1792-1833) eventually moved to Harrodsburg and married Catherine Vanderipe of the Low Dutch Colony. David Jackson's daughter, Mary, married david Jameson. She died in 1815, leaving several young children, one of whom, Nancy, married Joseph Robb (1803-1892, son of Michael Robb (1765-1826). James Jackson who died of the plague was the great grandfather of William Edward Jackson, Jr. Joseph Robb was the grandfather of Nancy Robb, daughter of J. C. Robb (1851-1942).
