Wish
Written July 2003.

He makes promises he knows he can't keep,
He showers you with flowers and more.
He looks in your eyes says "I love you",
While keeping his fingers crossed.
When the truth comes out with a vengence,
He kneels and pleads for forgiveness.
He looks at your with those puppy eyes,
You fall in love all over again.
But the hurt he's already caused,
Never leaves you, you'll always remember.
You find a letter "Dear love" it begins,
It's not your writing and it's not his.
You pack and leave without telilng,
You flee as fast as you can.
You're ashamed and embarassed,
You're broken hearted and jealous.
And you wish with all your heart,
That you'd listened to your conscience.
