The Rainfall
Written December 2002.
May the rain forever fall
Silver streaks upon the ground
May I always go to sleep
To that soft maternal sound.
May the lightning always flash
And the thunder always roar
When I hear a rainstorm come
Oh, my spirits start to soar.
May the wet wind always blow
And the clouds cover the sky
For sunlight may be snuffed out
But the dark will never die.
