Utopia
Written December 2004.

Taking me away from this world
So that for just a few moments
I can forget everything that's happening

The wars, the debates
Are washed away in the moment
While I am surrounded by my love

Just for a few moments
I can pretend to be someone else
I can pretend to live somewhere else

I can indulge in my fantasies
Play pampered princess to my
Knight in shining armour

I can forget my grieviences
Live happily and in bliss
Like a fairly tale come true

In a game of my own creation
Where I can set the rules
And decide what I want to do

But it's only for a moment
Before I'm pulled out of my utopia
Back into my reality

Yet for a moment, just a moment
I can shape the world I live in
While I'm sitting at my piano
