World In Your Hands
Written May 2004.
We bow at your feet
Surrender to your charms
God jumped off his pedastal
And looked to us for company
We bring you gifts
Throw flowers are your feet
All want to touch you
And all want to see you
We gather to honour you
Sing songs in your name
Kneel to your God
Worship you very image
You hold the world in your hands
Clamouring to do your bidding
We're only little pawns
On your larger chessboard
The world twined around
Your little finger
The world a tiny insect
You can ignore at will
The world as your disciples
Following you into deeper water
The world you lead astray
Your ever faithful watchdog
