My brother burst in my room threatening me and pulled the phone out of the wall. The witness was a staff member of Safeplace, the local family violence center. She told me to call the Austin Police Department, who are the highest paid police officers in Texas. I waited until things got much worse and dialed 911. Worse is my brother neglecting my mother (famiy violence/elder abuse) and threatening me(family violence/assault), but the police left without arresting the perp. This left me and my elderly mother in a worse situation. We were left to be harmed..... and we were.

After APD left, the first thing my brother asked is if APD went upstairs (and saw the evidence of his neglect of my mother.) No, APD did not go upstairs, eventhough I directed them to that scene.

That aint working. That's the way you do it

After APD left, I was kicked out of my home with next to nothing. After my mother "fell down the stairs," my brother put her in a nursing home. Then, He and his accomplicies pillaged, plundered, looted and divided the property of me and my mother. I did not receive one penny.

APD did not tell me about my rights as a victim of family violence or offer me any services. In fact, APD's response blocked the legal, law enforcement, judicial and counseling services that were meant to help me.

Maybe get a blister on your little finger. Maybe get a blister on your thumb.

When I received no help from the APD family violence protection team, I ended up the victim of the next crime (see My Blog and False police report). When APD came to the scene and found me in this dangerous situation, they left.

"If I have to come here again, someone will be arrested."

Look at that! Look at that! That ain't working

Oh yeah, APD falsified the police reports to make it look like there was no reason for me to call 911. This protected the suspects and set me up to be victimized again and again.

That's why I call APD-money for nothing.
