soitgoes' marble magnets

you will need:

  • those little flat-backed glass marbles (like the kind you put in planters or fish tanks)
  • strong circular magnets
  • small pictures
  • glue that dries clear
  • superglue or other epoxy-type glue

    what to do:

place a marble, flat side down on the picture you want to make the magnet from. trace around the edge of the marble and cut out the circle. brush a little clear glue onto the back of the marble and position the picture. allow to dry and then use the heavy-duty glue to fix the magnet to the back of the marble as well.

you can also vary this by making greeting cards in a similar way. glue the marbles with pictures to a blank card. be careful if you mail it because the post office charges slightly more for these because they are too thick to fit into their autosorters.
