We spent the day walking in Bear Mountain State Park which lies on the Hudson about an hour north of New York City. The fall foliage was at its peak and the weather was superb. After two days of rain, the streams were flowing and Polly and Sadie had a great time drinking the water and splashing through the puddles. Apart from the thirty odd ticks we had to remove from the dogs before we got into the car and the twenty or more we disposed of at home it was a totally splendid day.
