Tanya Tucker recently made headlines when she sued her record label Capitol
Nashville for $300,000. According to the following article from Enews,
she decided the humiliation she has had to suffer from Garth and Pat's greediness
is worth more than that. All I can say is, "You Go, Girl!"
Tanya wants $50 million from Capitol
Nashville
The Enews reported on August 13 that Tanya
Tucker had filed a new suit in Davidson County Court. We
have now learned that Tucker is claiming that her career damages from
Capitol Records Nashville is $50 million.
In the new suit which was filed to replace a $300,000 suit in federal
court, Tucker says she's being held "hostage." She now is claiming that
she is still under contract with Capitol until October 1999.
Pat Quigley, president and CEO of Capitol Nashville told Billboard Bulletin
that Tucker is definitely off the label. Ouigley goes on to say
that when he took office last fall, Tucker asked for and was given her release.
Tucker seeks to be paid for albums yet recorded. She is also claiming
that her career suffered from willful negligence on the part of the label
for years. Quigley calls the latest action, seeking $50 million, a
"frivolous" lawsuit.

MINE!!!! They are not expressed out of any personal vendettas
I might have against Garth Brooks. I am not now, nor have I
ever been employed by Garth Brooks. I simply believe him to be a greedy,
arrogant, and untruthful being. Which is why I have this site. To
express the aforementioned beliefs. Everything mentioned on this
site has been stated by Garth at one time or the other, either in
person or through an interview. I was a Garth Fan Once-I would not have
believed this stuff if Garth had not qualified it with his own words!
