RV Tips!
Rest Areas and picnic areas are good places to boondock if you don't mind the noise from the trucks.  Rest Areas can be found at regular intervals on the Interstates. They are both marked on Road Atlases (this isn't always a guarantee of their existence).
Some RV guidebooks warn against boon docking saying it can be dangerous but we have found nothing to suggest this as long as you use your common sense i.e. Downtown Miami.
Wal-Mart encourage RVer's to camp overnight on their car parks.  However, some States, including Florida, have disallowed this so check at each branch. Click on this link for more insight.
There are many RV campsites throughout the U.S. The chain K.O.A. (Kampgrounds of America) deserves a special mention.  If you like paying overblown prices for 'good clean fun' (their motto) then this is the place for you.
Prices for campgrounds can vary from $10 to $60 (K.O. rip off A.) per night depending on area, season, amenities etc.
