Kalbarri Blog
Day 2
Page 2
The Visitor Centre gave us info on tours and attractions and even gave us a map of the area, pointing out the great sights.  They were very helpful people.

We spend a bit of time there figuring out what we were going to do and took away maps before taking off for some of the sights.
Of course, having never been to Kalbarri, we had no idea what to expect.

We knew there were gorges, and, we knew we should be wearing proper footwear, but this is us.  Of course, we forgot to change!  Thongs it was!
Yep, you're right, thongs were definitely not the right footwear to walk to these sights.

They've done their best to make the touristy things low impact on the environment and I think they've done a pretty good job.

This was an awesome place.  Although there wasn't much water, apparently in March, with the floods, the water was up to that shelf in the lower picture that you can see looks just above the water line.  I'd LOVE to see this place with heaps of water in it!
Back
On the way back we stopped off at Meanarra Hill to take some pikkies.
