JOEL ANDREWS has had extensive training since the age of nine for a thirty-year career. In addition to concerts, he has covered virtually every phase of professional harp playing, from symphony and chamber music to ballet and jazz. WEDDINGS

While he can provide the traditional Processional, he has discovered some better alternatives, which most couples have chosen. Then he can improvise a soft support under any part of the ceremony. Also available is a solo for the bridal couple, which stimulates the spiritual aspects of love and has been known to bring tears to the entire audience.

RECEPTIONS

He weaves a rich tapestry of expressive, rhapsodic music to lend a sophisticated artistry to any occasion. His styles combine the warmth of popular ballads with the refined sparkle of semi-classical and classical favorites. He specializes in the love ballads of the '40s and '50s called "The Golden Era of Melody," when the lyrics were uplifting, romantic poetry and you could sing the moving melodies.

WINE TASTINGS

Growing up in a family that crushed grapes with their feet and made wine, Joel Andrews has become an appreciator of the finer wines of California. He once composed the score for a film about the Christian Brothers Winery. In the '60s, he played his harp in the tasting room of Beaulieu Vineyards. The visitors were so enthralled the manager served the winery's finest reserve wines so he wouldn't leave! He can actually taste a wine and them inprovise music expressing its deeper qualities.
