I saw with my eyes,
but I could not believe
The terrible scene that day.
So many were lost, so many will grieve
The terrorists had gotten their way.

The towers were gone,
the beautiful towers,
The rubble seemed a mile high,
Brave souls and breaking hearts
The world began to sigh.

I cried when they died
So many senslessly gone;
How do you cope,
understand or see,
How are you supposed to go on.

I pray for them all,
for their families and friends.
I just hope that soon,
This madness all ends.

The firemen died as they climbed the stairs.
I hold all of them, especially,
in my prayers.

Bravery untold, unimagined, did unfold.

Caring hearts, and tears wash away the dust
We have no choice but continue,
go on, we must.
