As I sit in my chair
with time to spare,
I'm transported to bliss you see,
Remote in my hand
and tea on the stand,
I'm as content as ever I'll be.

My satellite dish was my last great wish,
I wanted one ever so bad;
Now I fill my days in various ways,
I love seeing things I've not had.

Sherlock Holmes tests my wit,
You can't call him a "silly old twit" ...
He always solves the crime
And Inspector Morse, of course,
He was handsome in his prime.

There's Lucy and Viv up to their tricks
They sure put a smile on my face.
Agatha Christie, and Martha Stewart
Or movies starring Princess Grace.

I can learn to make a quilt,
or paint ....  or cook a cake;
There's teachers  galore....
.. it's hard to know what to make.

Mysteries are best,
then cooking and crafts;
Or the English comedies
packed with laughs.
Lots to see, especially for me,
I've not owned a dish before.
It's not always easy to choose what to see
There's so many treats in store.

What more could I ask
It's a thing of the past
Surfing to find what I like.
There's pretty homes, or garden gnomes,
Or seeing the world from a bike.

Museums of art and castles in Spain.
Or herds of buffalos crossing the plain.
Dr. Quinn, I watch with a grin.
It's all there for me to enjoy
I guess my remote is my new best toy.

Wow!
I love my new

satellite dish and more so
when I think of it pointing
skywards to the stars.
