Jan, as you know ,homeless cats have an especially hard time in the South due to the wides pread misconception that they can survive on their own. Also, many people view homeless cats as pests rather than victims. Therefore, my goal is to establish a safe refuge for homeless cats until they can be placed in permanent homes.Thus far, I have foun homes for about 60 formerly feral or abandoned cats and kittens,but I have 25 now living in my house and others that I should take in but cannot. As you can imagine, my house is no longer a place where I care to invite friends ,and maintaining a sanitary enviornment takes a major portion of my time. I need to construct some sort of cattery. Can you offer suggestions based upon the cat boarding facilities that you use? Thanks. P.S. I would send you a donation, but you can imagine how much my own cat resc e efforts have depleted my resources. Hence ,I send my prayers that your noble work in behalf of noble but maligned animals is blessed.

I met Jan when i returned to la after 30 yrs in colorado. It was love and respect at first site. her dedication to animals touched a part of me that knew i had to help too. Although her volunteers and funds are meeger, she continues to fight for their rights. changing the way rural people think of cats and dogs in one generation is almost an impossible task; but i know she will have made it happen sooner than anyone i've known. my hat is off to jan and anyone who is willing to take the time and love to help her. signed, priscilla ann dow [email protected]

We feed a couple of stray cats at our office. They are ferral. We finally were able to catch "Mamma Kitty" have her spayed and returned her to the yard at our office.
