However, these rules are not universal. They change with time, place and society. As an example consider protection of widows. One religion provides for remarage and gives permission to male for having up to four wives. On the other hand another religion insits on 'Sati' meaning burning of wife after death of her husband with her consent. In case the widow decides to live she need to follow some stingent rules like head shaving etc. This doesn't mean one religion is superior to other. The rules framed had been appropriate to the society at certain point of time. Hence, with changes these need a change.

Adopting changes in these rules makes the religion to survive for all the time. Changes in rules means changes needed for survival of the human race, making the society stronger, ensuring every member gets his/her due. Only highly intelligent, selfless, and experienced persons can modify the rules. Such a religion shall ensure integrity of the society and hence survival of the human race. Therefore, religion is highly desirable.
