English translation of the letter (28 July 2005)

Rape is not only physical but more a mental torture for women. For a respectable woman its is more than death. She can loose mental balance and may loose all interests in life and may be dead except for her physical body. Physical death for the rapist is a mild punishment. Punishment for rape should be much harsher than 'hanging till death'. At the same time it must be ensured that innocent are not punished. Therefore, there should be equally deterrent punishment for false complaints. In a rape case one of the parties must get punishment. If it is proved then the rapist should be punished and if it is found false the woman complaining must be punished. One of the parties must get punishment.

Manhood for a man and uterus for the woman are more dear than life. Instead of death penalty the culprit should loose as a punishment.
