| Comments: We traveled in July 2001 to pick up Kelli. What an incredible time we had exploring the city of Kelli's birth, getting to visit her orphanage and see the site where the police report said she had been found at 1-day-old. We were very impressed with the orphanage and, based on Kelli's transition to us, it's obvious the caregivers showed her affection and love - as best they could with, on average, 10 children to 1 caregiver. Kelli turned two in December and she continues to amaze us with her resilient spirit. She has personality plus and spunk by the truckloads - people are drawn to her and even straangers comment on her zest for life. She's a gift that we treasure and can't remember what we did without her. Kelli and our son Ross are getting along just like siblings should - they do equal amounts of teasing and being nice to each other. The noise level has more than doubled, too! |
