The process of making extract is more complicated compared to making powder.

In making extract, the plant is dried, crushed then boiled with water or soak in ethanol in order to take out the essential material of the plant. This process will result in concentrated form of the plant. Depending on the requirement, the concentrate can be obtained in liquid or powdered form.

In contradiction, making powder is relatively easy. The dried plant is grinded to get powder form.

CURING EFFECT

Extract is directly absorb to the body so the curing effect is more powerful then powdered form

Powdered  is not directly absorb to the body, it has to digest first

SHELF LIFE

Extract has long shelf life

Powdered has short shelf life
