Not a lot here yet, just getting this started. I've been intrigued by teardrop trailers for ages. The one design that caught my eye the most is this:

This trailer was featured in Popular Mechanics in the February & March 1940 issues, and the scans for this can be easily found on the 'Net. Thing is, though, it's rather small, and has very little headroom, plus, I want mine to be made of more modern materials. I'm thinking of making mine out of fiberglass and foam insulation, with some wood spars inside to allow me to atatch cabinets and such. I'm wanting it to be heavily insulated, both for wintr and summer camping here in Arizona, where the temps go from 120 degrees or more on a summer day to freezing cold at night.

In the months previous to putting this page up, I've run across some great people, especially at Teardrops & Tiny Trailers, a great site to hang out to learn stuff at, and I've been inspired by the genius of Andrew. It's mostly to Andrew's Widget design that I'm getting most of my ideas on how to build my trailer.

In the months to come, expect a complete revamping of this page including a design diary, build diary, and lots & lots of pics!!!
