Here are only some of the references in the Holy Koran.......My aim here is to explain the expansionist nature of Islam. This is not a negative virtue for a new religion but in today's age, we need to understand that such a view was required then......not now.......

In the Name of Allah the Merciful, the Most Merciful............

Chapter 2 The Cow - Al Baqarah

40 'Children of Israel, remember My favor I have bestowed upon you. Fulfill My covenant, and I will fulfill your covenant with you. Me, you must fear. 41 And believe in what I have sent down confirming what is with you, and do not be the first to disbelieve it. Do not sell My verses for a little price and fear Me. 42 Do not confound truth with falsehood, nor knowingly hide the truth while you know. 43 Establish your prayers, pay the obligatory charity, and bow with those who bow. 44 Would you order righteousness on others and forget it yourselves? Yet you recite the Book, have you no sense? 45 And seek help in patience and prayer. For it is heavy, except to the humble, 46 who reckon that they will meet their Lord and that to Him they will return. 47 Children of Israel, remember the favors I have bestowed on you, and that I have preferred (the prophets among) you above the worlds. 48 Guard yourselves against the Day when no soul can avail a thing to another, when neither intercession nor ransom shall be accepted from it, nor will they be helped. 49 (Remember) how We saved you from Pharaoh's people who had oppressed you cruelly, slaying your sons and sparing your women. Surely, that was a great trial from your Lord. 50 We parted the sea for you, and, taking you to safety, drowned the family of Pharaoh before your eyes. 51 We appointed for Moses forty nights, but in his absence you took the calf, thereby committing harm. 52 Yet after that We pardoned you, so that you might give thanks. 53 And when We gave Moses the Book and the Criterion, so that you might be guided; 54 and when Moses said to his nation: 'My nation, you have harmed yourselves by taking the calf (to worship). So turn in repentance to your Creator and slay yourselves. That will be best for you with your Creator.' And He shall accept you. He is the Receiver of Repentance, the Merciful. 55 And when you said to Moses: 'We will not believe in you until we see Allah openly,' a thunderbolt struck you whilst you were looking. 56 Then We raised you from your death, so that you might give thanks. 57 We caused the clouds to cast their shadow over you and sent down for you manna and quails, (saying:) 'Eat of the good things We have provided you.' Indeed, they did not harm Us, but they harmed themselves. 58 'Enter this village,' We said, 'and eat wherever you will and as much as you wish. Make your way prostrating through the gates, saying: "Unburdening." We shall forgive you your sins and We will increase the good-doers.' 59 But the harmdoers tampered with Our Words, different from that said to them, and We let loose on the harmdoers a scourge from heaven as a punishment for their debauchery. 60 (Remember) when Moses prayed for water for his nation, We said to him: 'Strike the Rock with your staff.' Thereupon twelve springs gushed from it, and each tribe knew their drinking place. 'Eat and drink of that which Allah has provided and do not act evilly in the land, corrupting.' 61 'Moses,' you said, 'we will no longer be patient with one type of food. Call on your Lord to bring forth for us some of the produce of the earth, green herbs and cucumbers, corn, lentils and onions.' 'What!' he answered, 'Would you exchange that which is lesser for what is better? Go down into Egypt, there you shall find all that you have asked.' Humiliation and abasement were pitched upon them, and they incurred the Anger of Allah; because they disbelieved His signs and slew His Prophets unjustly; because they disobeyed and were transgressors. 62 Those who believe, Jews, Nazarenes and Sabaeans - whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good deeds - shall be rewarded by their Lord; they have nothing to fear nor are they saddened.

Chapter 9 Repentance - Al-Tawba

28 Believers, the idolaters are unclean. Do not let them approach the Sacred Mosque after this year. If you fear poverty, Allah, if He wills, will enrich you through His bounty. He is Knowing, Wise. 29 Fight those who neither believe in Allah nor the Last Day, who do not forbid what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden, and do not embrace the religion of the truth, being among those who have been given the Book (Bible and the Torah), until they pay tribute out of hand and have been humiliated. 30 The Jews say Ezra is the son of Allah, while the Christians (who follow Paul) say the Messiah is the son of Allah. Such are their assertions, by which they imitate those who disbelieved before. Allah fights them! How perverted are they! 31 They take their rabbis and monks as lords besides Allah, and the Messiah, son of Mary, though they were ordered to worship but one God, there is no god except He. Exalted is He above that they associate with Him! 32 They desire to extinguish the Light of Allah with their mouths; but Allah seeks only to perfect His Light, though the unbelievers hate it. 33 It is He who has sent forth His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to uplift it above every religion, no matter how much the idolaters hate it. 34 Believers, many are the rabbis and monks who in falsehood defraud people of their possessions and bar people from the Path of Allah. Give glad tidings of a painful punishment to those who treasure gold and silver and do not spend it in the Way of Allah. 35 On that Day they (the treasures) will be heated in the fire of Gehenna (Hell), and their foreheads, sides, and backs will be branded with them, and told: 'These are the things which you have treasured. Taste then that which you were treasuring!' 36 The number of the months, with Allah, is twelve in the Book of Allah, the day when He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the right religion. Therefore, do not wrong yourselves in them and fight against the unbelievers all together as they themselves fight against you all together; know that Allah is with the cautious.41 Whether lightly or heavily, march on and fight for the Way of Allah, with your wealth and your persons. This will be best for you, if you but knew. 111 Allah has purchased from the believers their selves and possessions, and for them is Paradise. They fight in the Way of Allah, slay, and are slain. That is a binding promise upon Him in the Torah, the Gospel and the Koran; and who is there that more truthfully fulfills his covenant than Allah? Therefore, rejoice in the bargain you have bargained with Him. That is the mighty winning. . 121 Each sum they spend, be it small or large, and each valley they cross is written to their account, so that Allah may recompense them for their best deeds. 122 The believers should not go forth altogether, rather, a party from each section should go forth to become well versed in the religion, and when they return to their people warn them in order that they may beware. 123 Believers, fight the unbelievers who are near you. Let them find firmness in you. Know that Allah is with those who are cautious.

17 The Night Journey - Al-'Isra'

15 Whosoever is guided is only guided for his own self, and whosoever goes astray it is only against it. No soul shall bear another's burden. Nor do We punish until we have sent a Messenger. 16 When We desire to annihilate a village, We command those who live in ease, but they commit evil therein, then the Word is realized against it and it is utterly annihilated. 17 How many generations have We destroyed since Noah! Your Lord suffices as One who is Aware of and sees the sins of His worshipers. 18 For whosoever desires this fleeting life We hasten for him whatever We will and to whom We want. Then, We have prepared Gehenna for him where he will be roasted, condemned and rejected. 19 Whosoever, being a believer, desires the Everlasting Life and strives for it as he should - those their striving will be thanked. 39 That is of the wisdom your Lord has revealed to you. Do not set up with Allah another god, or you will be cast into Gehenna, condemned and rejected. 56 Say: 'Call to those whom you assert, other than Him. They have neither the power to remove your affliction nor to transfer it.' 57 Those, they call upon are themselves seeking a means to come to their Lord, competing with each other to be nearer; they hope for His Mercy and fear His punishment. Indeed, the punishment of your Lord is the subject of caution. 58 There is no village except that it shall be destroyed or that We will punish it with a stern punishment before the Day of Resurrection. That is inscribed in the Book.

19 Mary - Maryam

. 16 And mention in the Book, Mary, how she withdrew from her people to an eastern place and she took a veil apart from them; 17 We sent to her Our Spirit (Gabriel) in the resemblance of a perfect human. 18 (And when she saw him) she said: 'I take refuge in the Merciful from you! If you are fearful.' 19 'I am the Messenger of your Lord,' he replied, 'and have come to give you a pure boy.' 20 'How shall I bear a son,' she answered, 'when I am not touched by a human and not unchaste?' 21 "Even so" he replied, "as such your Lord has said: 'Easy it is for Me. And We shall make him a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us. It is a matter decreed.'" 22 Thereupon she carried him, and retired to a far- off place. 23 And when the birth-pangs came upon her by the trunk of a palm-tree, she said: 'Oh, would that I had died before this and become a thing forgotten!'

A constant undercurrent to consider other religions as inferior and to hate the non-believers is visible through out the complete text. One only need to read it academically. This si very reason, Islam spread so far and wide... and this is very reason we are misfits in a world where science dictates terms. It is time for some serious soul searching and definitely, the mullah can not do so..........
