Silent Protest

She closed her eyes in silent frustration. She had had enough.
She bit her lower lip, opened her eyes and, with one fast move, pulled her sword out of its sheath. Rage was pulsing through her veins.
Her opponent stood calmly a few feet away from her, and, in fact, he looked as if he didn't see her at all. He was looking right through her. And this only made her more angry.
"Stop!" she screamed as she ran at him, slashing out her long, thin sword, "Stop ignoring me!" She gave him a long cut to his back. "I'm here, a foot from you!"
Slash, slash, slash. Blood everywhere. And still she kept on thrusting out her weapon at him. And still he stood there, seemingly uneffected by all she'd done to him.
She stopped. For a split second, she wondered why she was doing it. Then, with one last, tearful cry, she cried out; "Why can't you ever notice me?" and with that, she swung her sword forward, neatly cutting the man's neck in two.
And it was just then, that she noticed - how come now and not earlier? - that she knew the man.
With a gasp, she looked down at her bloody feet and at the head of Harry Potter.

Ginny Weasley woke up, shocked. After a moment of silent, inner screaming, she burst into mournful tears. And hugging her knees, rocking back and forth, she asked, "Why can't you see me right in front of you?"
