Demo Picture
As you know I went to the Seminar/Demo as previously mentioned. I did video the even but I used long play on the tape as I only had a 45 minute tape and the event was 3 hours ( I also damn well forgot how to take it off long play). There is a small side effect of videoing in long play, there is a small loss of quality and you can't take (videocapture) stills in colour. So I do have some great shots in B&W but I have worked out a way to take snaps in colour, it just take a little longer and I don't think they look as good. Anyway heres the first shot in B&W & Colour. Let me know which you would prefer.

These Koreans could slam dunk upside down!

Xoom to be Tae Kwon Do Australia's new file server?
I will be using the Xoom mirror to host all the large video files. So could be as many as 10 videos! (highly compressed mpegs).

Tournament Coaching Seminar Today
I just got back from the NSW Tournament Coaching Seminar and I'm pretty tired. But I did video tape a lot of the stuff there. Hopefully I'll find some time, along with all my other projects, to put up some info and shots of what I saw. You can look forward to seeing fantastic shots of a the university taekwondo demonstration team.

Movie/TV News
Jet Li, Mel Gibson Getting In on TV Martial Arts Action
Seems like Mel andf Jet Li are trying to get into the Martial Law action. I got this little but of news from from IGN at http://tvformen.ign.com/. Have a look at the post they had there.

Mel Gibson, Jet Li Getting In On The Action

The two Hollywood megastars will join forces with a new project based on old school Hong Kong action

Some of you might be thinking, “What the hell do those two film actors have to do with TV?” Well, don’t be so impatient, we were getting to it. The two actors, who battled one another in Lethal Weapon 4, have joined forces and will create a syndicated action series designed to resemble many of the high octane martial-arts films that made Li a household name.

The project reportedly came about when Li approached Gibson and his Icon Productions about the idea. Li plans to employ as many of the available far-eastern action directors as possible for the series, and also help out with fight and stunt coordination. Neither Gibson nor Li will not act in the series, but look for both to have significant decision-making roles.

Li and Gibson’s untitled project won’t be the first American television series to tap into the Hong Kong talent pool. CBS’s Martial Law, which brought over Asian action star Sammo Hung, has done surprisingly well in the ratings department.

Alliance Atlantis, which has two syndicated shows set to launch this fall (Peter Benchley’s Amazon and Beastmaster: The Legend Continues) plans to co-produce the series. Although a domestic and international distributor has not been named, it shouldn’t be a problem with Li and Gibson attached.

Monkey Magic
Since Monkey magic is back on the ABC on Saturdays 9am-12 as part of a show in Australia I went and searched the net for some sites. If you enjoy a good laugh or if you were ever a fan or just wanted to know whats it all about then check out some of these sites. The dubbing (voiceovers) are the funniest.
