Title: To Late to Say Goodbye
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 1
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin*. But I do own Jami, for she is me. Tasha owns herself. Wanna try and take us, come on...give it a try! The song belongs to Richard Marx. And the address to the stories is at the bottom of this email. And I use the wrestlers wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know yet *L*.
Summary: What happens when you finally realize the truth?
Feedback: I need feedback like I need air! So give it to me, babee! I have been suffocating lately....so please, send in the feedback.

Adam and Tasha were sitting across from each other on their bed, trying not to hear the conversation that was going on next door. But when you had paper thin walls, that's hard to do. They heard Jami say something about how Jeff loved Tasha, and she loved Adam, and that Tasha and Adam loved them back. Now it was there. Hanging in the air. Waiting to be discussed.

Adam had the crazy feeling that he had to get out. Get out of the room. He couldn't deny his feelings for Jami anymore than Tasha could deny hers for Jeff. But it was hard to come to this point in their relationship. Where there would be no more deny'ing.
***

What I had to flaunt
Has come back to haunt
Like a restless wind
And the best of times
That were left behind
They come blowing in

No one's pushing me
Through that door
But it might as well be
A forty-four in the night

***

Adam wanted to dart out of the room and go flying down the hall. He didn't want to have to look back at Tasha's own pain filled gaze. To look at her and know she loved another. To look at her and have her know that he loved another.

***

It's too late to say goodbye
I'm all out of lies
It's too late to say goodbye

***

Adam shook his head, knowing he had to say something. That it was already out there. He couldn't just deny it. He knew that he had to be honest with Tasha. That if he didn't, he regret it forever. Not only that, but she'd regret it forever. But he was suprised when he heard his own voice in the room. "Is it to late to say goodbye?" he asked her.

***

How can I resist
One more stranger's kiss
Should the thrill be gone
And if I must refrain
Will I wind up the same
As the jealous dogs?

From this day forward
Could be too long
But crossing the border
Would be so wrong, and you're right

***

Tasha looked up at him, struggling to keep herself from crying in front of him. He knew by the look in her eyes that it was to late. What had needed to be said had just been said next door.

There would be no lies anymore. Jami and Jeff had been so honest, that it had been felt in Adam and Tasha's room. As they looked at each other, everything that needed to be said was said by their eyes. Tasha was in love with Jeff. And Adam was in love with Jami. There was no need for goodbye. It had already been said.

***

It's too late to say goodbye
I've run out of lies
And it's too late to say goodbye

I know that you're right
It's too late to say goodbye
I'm all out of lies
It's too late to say goodbye
This feeling won't die
It's too late to say goodbye
I can't watch you cry
It's too late to say goodbye
