Jeff stood backstage as Tasha walked up the ramp towards him. He needed to talk
to her. A few days earlier she had cornered him in his locker room and revealed
that she loved him. That she loved both her boyfriend Adam Copeland and him. He
had never gotten a chance to respond to her. Now he wanted that chance.
As soon as Tasha walked past the curtain Jeff grabbed her and dragged her into
an empty room. He shut the door behind him and turned to look at her. Tasha
stood before him in her stage outfit. Short black leather shorts that showed off
her long legs to no end. The black halter top she wore clung to her skin like it
was a second skin. Her dirty blonde hair fell over her shoulder in a crazy maze
of waves.
Tasha's blue eyes focused on his green ones in confusion, waiting for him to
explain his reason for dragging her into this room without so much as a word.

Girl I see how you're looking at me
And I must say you're looking sexy
But the truth is my baby has been good to me
Girl the way that you move's so tempting
Gotta say that I like what I see
But the truth is my baby has been good to me

"Tash, I've been doing a lot of thinking about what you said that other
night. About loving me..." Jeff started to say but Tasha cut him off.
"Jeff, don't humor me. I know how you feel about Jami. I thought we agree'd
to never speak of this again." Tasha said.
"I'm not humoring your Tasha. I....I have feelings for you too. I was
afraid to admit them before because I was afraid Jami would realize it. I know
what you mean about loving two people at once. I love you, and I love Jami. And
yes, part of me wants to go with you and be with you. But I can't." Jeff
explained
***
Friday, I saw you looking my way
I know that you've been wanting me
I can see it in the way you've been taunting me
Your eyes make it hard for me to walk away
When the truth is I want to stay
All I gotta say is girl there's just no way
Girl I see how you're looking at me
And I must say you're looking sexy
But the truth is my baby has been good to me
Girl the way that you move's so tempting
Gotta say that I like what I see
But the truth is my baby has been good to me

"What?" Tasha managed to choke out. "I've thought about you so
many times, that Jami would die if she ever even had the hint about it. I mean,
you and her walk out there, strutting your stuff in such sexy, revealing
outfits, it's hard to keep your mind clean. But I keep those thoughts in my
mind, because it took me a long time to build the relationship with Jami. And
she's been good to me. I don't want to lose that. But I wanted you to know that
the feeling wasn't unrequited. You said I had a right to know how you felt, I
think you have the right to know how I feel." Jeff told her.
Tasha stood in silence, confused emotions once again taking a hold of her,
making her world spin.

In my mind I've made love to you a thousand times
But that is where I draw the line
I could lose everything that it took me so long to find
Let me be as clear as I could be
Though you do what you do to me
I gotta tell you girl there's just no way
Girl I see how you're looking at me
And I must say you're looking sexy
But the truth is my baby has been good to me
Girl the way that you move's so tempting
Gotta say that I like what i see
But the truth is my baby has been good to me

"Maybe if things were different. But Jami's stood by me when I had all
those back problems earlier this year. She's listened to me rant and rave, yell
and scream, and she's never left me for a second. She has always helped me be
the best me, I can't just let that go. She took a chance on being with me, when
she knew that I could easily have broken her heart. I guess what I'm saying is,
I can't be with you because my baby has been good to me and I love her."
Jeff said.
Tasha felt tears well up in her eyes, for she knew exactly how he felt. The same
emotions rushed through her body when it came to her, Adam and Jeff. Tasha
simply nodded to him and smile, before walking out of the room leaving Jeff in
silence.
***
She's been good to me
She's the only one who ever really stood by me
She believes in me
She's the only one who ever took a chance on me
So girl there's just no way
