And don't bother suing me...all you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know yet *L*.
Summary: What can make the pain go away?
Feedback: I need feedback like I need air! So give it to me, babee! I have been suffocating lately....so please, send in the feedback.

Jami let out a grumble as she slowly rolled over so that she was on her hands and knees, her butt facing Adam. She crawled over to where the mini bar was set up, all the tiny bottles in neat little lines. Jami threw her hand out, knocking them all to the floor next to her.

"Do you really need more to drink?" Adam asked as he watched her with a worried frown. Jami turned and sat so she was leaning against the mini bar. She closed her eyes and her left hand lazily reached out and grasped the first bottle she found tightly in her hand. She twisted the cap off, throwing it towards the bed, before downing the small bottle in one gulp.

"I guess that answers my question as well as any verbal answer would have." Adam muttered under his breath.

They tried to catch a falling star
Thinking that she had gone to far
She did but kept it hidden well
Until she cracked and then she fell

"What do you think Tasha is doing this very instant?" Jami asked, her voice sounding full of sleep. "More than likely she is gloating over the fact that she got you to believe her. She's probably trying to figure out a way to finish this game, and steal your crown." Adam told her honestly.

"Crown? What Crown? When did I have a crown? I'd like a crown." Jami mumbled, the words slurring together. "Jami...you really have no idea do you?" Adam asked.

"I try not to have ideas. They usually end up hurting." Jami answered simply. Adam bit back a smile as he watched her lashes flutter lazily over her cheek bones, knowing she was fighting to stay awake.

"People like you Jami. You have a lot of friends. Your like the homecoming queen or prom queen or something. And Tasha wants that crown." Adam told her.

If all the history is true
She's gonna end up just like you
You made it to the other side
But tell me who will be my guide

They build you up so they can tear you down
Trust the ocean you'll never drown
Who is next? Whose going to steal your crown?
You'll see

"I was never the homecoming queen or prom queen. I did T.P. the prom queen's house once though. But she deserved it. Or maybe I T.P'd the drag queen's house. Hell, I can't remember. I just know that it involved toilet paper...I think." Jami lazily rambled.

Adam laughed outloud this time. "You know that just becuase you don't feel the pain now, that it will come back later." Adam stated, rather than asked. Jami opened one eye to look at him. "That's why you keep drinking."

The truth is out there I can tell
Don't look back and don't give in to their lies and goodbyes

"Someday the alcohol will stop numbing you." Adam reminded her. "Hopefully by then I'll be dead." Jami answered, closing her eye. Adam was at her side in a second. He grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her soundly until her glazed eyes looked up at him.

"Don't ever say anything like that again!" Adam growled at her. "God, you do that again and I'm likely to throw up all over you. You'd be a messy Edge. hahahahaha, get it...messy edge. Wait, was that funny?" Jami asked.

Adam released her and she fell against the mini bar with a thunk, a few plastic cups falling off the bar and onto her lap. "oh! Hats!" Jami exclaimed. Adam turned to set the cups back up on the bar and by the time he looked back at Jami, she was downing another bottle.

"Jami, knock it off. Keep it up and you won't even remember your name." Adam warned. "That's why your here silly. That way, if I forget, you can tell me who I am. Who am I, Adam? Am I the prom queen? Or am I the one who would T.P. her house?" Jami asked.

"I think your the type to be the prom queen, and lead the whole gang to T.P. your own house." Adam replied. Jami's lips lazily curled into a smile as she nodded. "Yep, sounds like me. Want to go T.P. your car?" Jami asked. "No, lets save that when you can walk a straight line." Adam told her.

"oh, but I can. Wanna see?" Jami hopped up and swooned a bit as she felt dizzy at being on her feet. She took two steps and fell. "Was that straight enough." She asked from the floor.

Fullfil the longing in your heart
Then we will never be apart
And if they dare to question you
Just tell them that our love is true

They buy your dreams so they can sell your soul
Is it any wonder we've lost control
Feelings come. Feelings go

"Adam....why are you staying here. I'm drunk...I'm stupid...why?" Jami asked as she rolled over onto her back. "Because...I care about you." Adam replied simply.

"I think I should get a new in-ring name. J.Lynn is to predictable." Jami murmered, as if she hadn't heard him answer her a few moments ago. "What do you think it should be?" She asked him.

"Northern Star." He answered. Jami yawned before asking, "Why?" "Becuase you lead, you don't follow. And because your someone no one will ever forget. No one ever forgets about the Northern Star." Adam answered her, crawling over to lay on his back beside her.

"Adam, do you like the sober Jami? Sober Northern Star?" Jami asked. "Yes, I do." Jami turned on her side, her eyes looking at him with curiosity. Then she leaned over and kissed him. "When you touch me, she feels it. She's not that far away." Jami murmed quietly before her eyes closed, and before he could let the reality of her words sink in, she was asleep.
