For the second time that week, Jami watched as her friends disappeared around the corner of the church. The order was pretty much the same, except Traci was no the maid of honor and Lita was after her. The groomsmen reamined the same. Jami studied her bridesmaids carefully. They wore royal blue dresses that were sleeveless. The straps on the dress were wide and it had a square neckline. The skirts were long and full. They carried bouqets of red roses. Jami wore a brillantly white dress. The top was the same as her bridesmaid's in style, except the neckline was more round. The skirt wasn't as full but it flared out from her waist. She carried a bouqet of white roses. Her hair was swept up and piled on top of her head. She had a veil over her face. There were 2 flower girls, Tristin and Nicole. Jeff had picked out the ring bearer, he was a relative of his.
Jami felt someone pat her hand reassuringly, and she smiled up at her dad. Finally it was her turn to walk down the aisle. As the music swelled, Jeff looked down to where she stood. His eyes widened and a huge smile crossed his face. Everyone stood to watch as Jami delicately walked down the aisle. She stopped a few steps away from where Jeff stood. He just looked at her, almost in a trance. When the minister asked who gave her away, her dad answered before turning to sit down next to her mother.
Jami smiled at Jeff, who looked unsure of what to do next. Jami whispered, "Just take that step." Jeff smiled and stepped forward to collect his bride.

Jeff took the ring and slipped it on her finger. He smiled as her eyes welled with tears. He knew she would love the ring. It was a simple, thin, gold band that fit with her engagement ring. He also knew she would love the inscription. In scrolling words it said, "Love like ours last forever."
Jeff's breath caught in his throat when, a few moments later, Jami slipped a gold band onto his finger. Jami smiled as Jeff's eyes seemed to tear up. Jami had picked out a gold band and had an inscription placed inside it. In a scripted letters it read, "Taking That Step Together." "Now Jami and Jeff have something to say to each other." the pastor told the congregation.
Jeff cleared his throat, "Jami, I loved you from the moment I saw you. You were sitting across the room and you looked so sweet and innocent. I knew we were meant to be together. You've been hurt before, but I promise that I will never hurt you. I'll do everything I can to protect you. I'll love you forever and I'll cherish you even longer." Jeff wiped tears from her eyes with his thumb.
Jami smiled, "Jeff, when I saw you across the room that day, I think I lost my heart to you in that very instant. I tried to fight it, but my heart won. And I'm so glad it did. You believe in us when I was to scared to. And then you let me go so I could find my way back to you. I will love you forever, I promise."

The minister closed his book, "you may now kiss the bride." Jeff leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips. Then Jami and Jeff turned to face the crowd. "I know present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Nero Hardy."
