Title: Missing a Step
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 18
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin* And not a single butt cheek of theirs belongs to the WWF, to the WWE yes...but not the WWF. But I do own Jami, for she is me. Tasha owns herself. Charity owns herself and if you try to take any of us, you will burn in hell! This is the next story in the Step series...it's the Edge/Tasha sequel. And the address to the stories is at the bottom of this email. And I use the wrestlers wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago. And Amanda, aka Phoenix, is not a bitch in real life. She's actually a very nice girl. =) She's just a bitch in this story for my purposes *L* So, no bashing real Amanda.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Just making things up as I go.
Summary: Can Jami and Tasha deal with Phoenix being in the WWE?
Feedback: I need feedback like I need air! So give it to me, babee! I have been suffocating lately....so please, send in the feedback.

Jeff slunk down further in his chair, watching the people in the waiting room out of curiousity. He was feeling a tiny speck of worry edge in around his stomache, and he was trying to keep it from growing any bigger.

Jami should have been there by now. There was no way she would have missed the note, and there hadn't even been a call on his cell phone. He was trying to convince himself that Jami had simply went home, or was on her way there now. But nothing was convincing him. Something was wrong.

Edge fell into the seat next to him, his eyes hazing from lack of sleep. Worried lines criss crossed his faces in sections, making him look older. Jeff wasn't sure what to say to him. He knew how hard it was to have the woman you love laying in a hospital bed. But he also knew that no words would bring him the comfort he needed from being able to hold her in his arms.

No one was sure what to say or do. The BLADE women were slowly falling under some sort of curse. Lita was recovering my surgery, Tasha was in the hospital with an injury, and no one knew where Jami was. So far, Charity was the only one that remained okay.

Edge wiped a hand over his face, "Have you heard from Jami?" he asked Jeff. Jeff struggled between telling Edge the truth, or lying to him to ease his mind. He knew Edge was worried about Jami too. Jami could be scatterbrained sometimes, but never when it came to her friends. And especially not in a time like this.

"No man, I think she might be back at the room though. Not sure yet." Jeff said, trying to keep the worry from his voice. Edge nodded, watching as Rob walked towards them.

"Hey, Charity is in checking on Tasha now. I think I'm going to head down that way, okay." Rob told them.

Rob entered the dark room, and his hand groped for the light switch. When he turned it on, his eyes closed, letting him sink back to the darkness for a moment in time. When they opened again, the room hadn't changed any.

A bedside table was overturned, and a curtain and been brought down to lay on the floor. A few other things were overturned, scattered around the room. Tasha's eyes were open, staring unmoving. On the floor next to the bed Charity slowly struggled to sit up, her hand gingerly touching her head.

Rob knelt down next to his fallen girlfriend. "Char?" he asked tentively. "Someone was in here. They were messing with Tasha's IV line. I tried to fight them, but the managed to hit me with something. Then they left." Charity answered his unspoken question.

Rob was on his feet in a second, ripping the door open and yelling for a doctor, nurse, someone to help.

Jami's eyes refused to cooperate when she commanded that they open. Her limbs were heavy, and she was incredibly sore. She felt someone breathing next to her, and she managed to open one eye.

She was still on the bed in the darkened room. Next to her lay Kevin Nash, grinning sadistically at her.
