Title: Missing a Step
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 14
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin* And not a single butt cheek of theirs belongs to the WWF, to the WWE yes...but not the WWF. But I do own Jami, for she is me. Tasha owns herself. Charity owns herself and if you try to take any of us, you will burn in hell! This is the next story in the Step series...it's the Edge/Tasha sequel. And the address to the stories is at the bottom of this email. And I use the wrestlers wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago. And Amanda, aka Phoenix, is not a bitch in real life. She's actually a very nice girl. =) She's just a bitch in this story for my purposes *L* So, no bashing real Amanda.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Just making things up as I go.
Summary: Can Jami and Tasha deal with Phoenix being in the WWE?
Feedback: I need feedback like I need air! So give it to me, babee! I have been suffocating lately....so please, send in the feedback.

"Hey, you guys seen Jami?" Jeff yelled to Charity and Rob an hour after Jami had left for the ladies room. "Nope. Not since we were at the table." Rob answered.

Jeff nodded and took off in the direction of the bathrooms. He found the stairwell and slowly walked down it. 'this is weird,' he thought, 'why would they put the bathrooms so far from the dancefloor'.

As he descended the stairs the air around him got thicker and cold. He felt small shiver run up his spine, but he wasn't sure why. "Jami?" He called out, hearing his voice echo on the damp cement walls.

He inhaled the dark musty scent of mold from the basement, his nose wrinkling in disgust. Jami wouldn't have gone down there, right? Right?

Jeff felt a vibration in his pocket and reached in to grab his beeper. It showed that Edge was beeping him from the hospital. He hesitated a moment before racing back up the stairs to leave a note at the table for Jami, and to grab Charity and Rob.

"Any Change?" Jeff asked Edge. "She's really hurting. They are giving her some pain relievers, but she keeps getting worse. They are like migraines that keep repeatedly attacking. No one is sure what is causing this." Edge told him.

Jeff watched his friend closely, noticing the tired look that was creeping around his eyes. He knew had much it could take out of a person when you were waiting to find out what was wrong with a loved one. Especially one you loved with all your life.

"Do you want to go to the hotel and grab a quick shower. I'll stay here and beep you if she even moves." Jeff offered, knowing that Edge would refuse the offer. "No, I want to be here in case anything happens. She's asleep now, I think they gave her drugs to knock her out...but I don't want to leave." Edge said and Jeff nodded.

Charity and Rob sat in the corner of the waiting room, watching the two men talk. They had overheard Edge telling Jeff about the headaches. "Do you think something weird is going on?" Charity asked quietly.

"What do you mean? Besides Jami missing and Tasha laying in a hospital bed?" Rob asked, nonchalantly. "Okay, like that isn't weird enough? Usually you can't tie those to apart...and now suddenly Tasha is in need and Jami is no where to be found. I think something is going on." Charity asserted.

"I think you need to stop drinking. You are letting your imagination get away with you again. Jami is probably in the middle of those bodies on the dance floor, and just hasn't seen the note yet. Chill." Rob said. Charity nodded, but she wasn't convinced.
