Title: Learning the Steps
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 7
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin*. But I do own Jami, for she is me. Tasha owns herself. (Heaven help the person who tries to claim he/she owns either of us). Charity and Mags also own themselves and if you try to take them you will burn in hell! This is the next story in the Step series...it's the Matt/Lita sequel. And the address to the stories is at the bottom of this email. And I use the wrestlers wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know yet *L*.
Summary: What's next in the cards for Matt and Lita.
Feedback: I need feedback like I need air! So give it to me, babee! I have been suffocating lately....so please, send in the feedback.

Jami walked back into the room she was sharing with Lita and flopped down on her bed with a sigh. "Okay...dish." Lita demanded simply. "What?" Jami asked innocently. "You have changed in the past few hours...since right before your last fight with Jeff. What's up?" Lita asked.

"Well....I guess I finally realized how real this all was. I mean...Jeff said he wanted a seperation. That's half a breath towards divorce. Divorce...God...he doesn't want to be married to me." Jami exhaled.

"Jami, babe, I know that is what you think. But he does want to be married to you. He was hurt and in shock...so he said something rash. And I can safely say that he is a lot like you and extremely stubborn and proud. He doesn't want to admit that he didn't mean what he said, especially when you won't admit that you don't want it to be true." Lita said.

"Wait a second! I'm more than willing to admit that I don't want to be seperated from Jeff!" Jami said, standing as if to add emphasis to her point. "To Jeff." Lita said dryly. Jami sat back down..."You didn't say that the first time." Jami pouted.

"Jami, listen it's okay to have pride, and I think that you shouldn't have to go to Jeff first. But when he does come to you...don't say something about smelling Stacy's perfume on him." Lita smiled. "It was an innocent comment! I just happened to smell Stacy's perfume, no one wears that kind but her, and it was a strong scent so I figured he must have at least been talking to her. Or hanging out with her. I didnt' think for a second he was...was sleeping with her! I trust him more than that. But he just went psycho on me!" Jami huffed.

"I know...he took it wrong. Maybe you could mention that to him?" Lita suggested. "Did I Happen to tell you what he said to me earlier, when I just went to talk to Matt. He told me that I might kick him out of our marriage, but I couldn't kick him out of his room." Jami told her. "He didn't?" Lita asked, taken aback. "He did. At first I just ignored him while I talked to Matt. Then I went up and told him that I didn't kick him out of our marriage...he left me so he kicked himself out. He kicked himself in the ass." Jami giggled.

"Sometimes I can't believe you two ever got together. And at the same time I can't imagine anyone more perfect for either of you." Lita laughed. Jami laughed with her. "You are right about that. When we fight it's one hell of a fight, but when we are happy, nothing can stop us. We both seem like we have been set on fire. I love it. He seems so alive, like he can do or be anything. I love him like that." Jami said, starring out into space.

"Have you noticed that he's that way when he's with you? Only you?" Lita asked. "Damn you Lita. You know better than to make me think about all this emotional stuff. Now I'm emotionally exhausted." Jami grinned as she threw herself down on her bed.

"You okay?" Jeff asked. "Yeah...I guess I just went overboard about Lita spending her time with Jami tonight. All the WWF Diva's seem pretty tight with their groups of friends." Matt admitted.

"Oh please. Jami doesn't need any help. She's the one who keeps choosing her own direction in life. Your woman just skipped out on you." Jeff snorted. "Shut up Jeff. You are just trying to get me pissed so you can have someone to be miserable with." Matt grumbled before walking out of the hotel room.

He slowly ambled around the hotel, just looking around. Finally Matt found himself standing before a huge set of glass windows that let him see the people and coming from the hotel. He was standing on the 2nd floor, so he had a pretty good view. That's when he saw her. A woman of medium height, past shoulder length, deep red hair. It was Lita. Leaving the hotel. But now with Jami. Jami was no where in sight. But Christian was. And he was leaving with Lita.
