This is the next story in the Step series...it's the Matt/Lita sequel. And the address to the stories is at the bottom of this email. And I use the wrestlers wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.

Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know yet *L*.
Summary: How will Jami, and the gang, react to Lita's secret.

Jami immediently rushed to engulf Lita in a huge hug, gently stroking her red hair as she cried. "Shhhhhh, sweetie, it'll be okay....Go ahead, cry...it's okay." Jami coo'd, trying to comfort the distraught woman.
After a few minutes, Lita pulled back and wiped her eyes. "God, that felt good to tell someone. It was eating me up." Lita admitted. "Oh hun, I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I'm glad you told me, now you don't have to go through it alone. Have you told Matt yet?" Jami asked.
Lita shook her head, "No, I just found out a few days ago, and to be honest, I didn't know how to tell him." Lita admitted. "Hun, he needs to know. I know that he'll want to be by your side through this all." Jami told her, smiling slightly.
Lita gave her a small smile back, "I know you are right. I will tell him when we go back to the hotel tonight. Will...will you tell the others? I just don't have the heart too." Lita asked. "Of course, if that is what you want me to do. Do you want me to keep it just amongst our little group, or do you want anyone else to know?" Jami asked.
"Well, I'm going to talk to Linda McMahon tomorrow morning, and then Stephanie and Shane will know, and before long it'll be all over the place, but by then I should be gone and headed over to North Carolina for the surgery. So it doesn't matter who knows, but until I leave, I'd rather that it stay in the group." Lita told her.
"I completely understand. Now, lets go in there and party..." Jami grinned and Lita laughed as she followed Jami inside.

Later that night RVD, Charity, Tasha, Edge, and Jeff were all gathered in Jami, Lita and Tasha's hotel room. Lita had went to Matt's room to talk to him alone. Everyone was laying around the room, exhausted from their night of clubbing. And they were all giving Jami curious looks as she paced in front of them, debating how to tell them.
"Jami, listen dude, I know there is something big you are gonna tell us, so could you like, just say it?" RVD yawned at her. Jami looked up at him and nodded, her eyes wide. That got everyone's attention fast. Jami was looking like the world had just crashed down on her.
"Um, okay...some of you may have noticed that Lita has been, well, withdrawn a lot lately. Well, tonight at the club, she and I were out in the back, getting some air, when I decided to ask her about it. After a few questions, she finally told me something. Something that is really serious. And before I tell you what it is, I need you to know that it is to remain in the group, just amongst us, until tomorrow afternoon. And she doesn't want any pity." Jami stated.
"For the love of God, will you just tell us?" Tasha demanded, beginning to grow anxious about what Jami was about to reveal.
"Well, Lita is going to North Carolina tomorrow afternoon, to have surgery....to have a tumor removed from one of her ovaries. There is a chance....well, that it could be cancerous." Jami told them, looking down at her toes as the tears begin to brim in her eyes.
"W-what?" Tasha mumbled, shaking her head as if she hadn't heard correctly. "Oh God...when will they know?" Charity asked. "Well, within a few days. They'll do a biopsy on it after they remove it." Jami answered.
"Oh wow." Was all Edge could say. And for once in his life, RVD was left speechless. "yeah, so um....I know this is pretty bad and all, but please don't let Lita see how upset you are. I don't want us to scare her or anything." Jami pleaded. Everyone in the room nodded in agreement.
Jeff stood up and wrapped his arms around Jami, letting her cry. RVD wrapped his arms around Charity while Edge did the same with Tasha.

Matt stood in the center of the hotel room, not believing what he was hearing. "When do we leave?" he asked. "Well, I leave tomorrow afternoon. You don't have to come if you don't want to." Lita told him.
"not come? I'm going to be there for you through all of this Lita. I love you!" Matt told her as he cradled her in his arms and let her cry.
