Title: Last Step
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 11
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin* And not a single butt cheek of theirs belongs to the WWF, to the WWE yes...but not the WWF. But I do own Jami, for she is me. Tasha owns herself. Charity owns herself and if you try to take any of us, you will burn in hell! This is the next story in the Step series...it's the Jami/Jeff sequel. And the address to the stories is at the bottom of this email. And I use the wrestlers wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Just making things up as I go.
Summary: It's the last story...will it all come together, or all fall apart?
Feedback: I need feedback like I need air! So give it to me, babee! I have been suffocating lately....so please, send in the feedback.

Jami woke up that night, finding herself alone on her side of the bed. Usually Jeff would end up flopping around so much, that his arms and legs would eventually entangle themselves with her limbs. But tonight, he was tucked over on his side of the bed, his back to her. Their feet weren't even touching.

Jami sighed before slipping out of the bed, in a silence that astounded her. She sleathly moved across the hotel room floor until she found her small purse. Hoping that nothing would jingle loudly in it, she clutched it tightly to her body before she crept out the door.

When she was in the hallway, she breathed easier. She padded down the hallway towards the exit sign, pulling her car keys out as she went. She had taken her own car to the last few shows, and now she needed a ride with the top down more than anything.

The moment she stepped out into the dark night, she had to fight the urge to run screaming through the parking lot. Just to hear her voice bounce off the hotel walls, the only sound in the night. But fearing the need to live, she held herself in check.

She lowered the top down on her car. 'Damn, in a few months Jeff and I might have to actually get a reasonable car. This one will crumble like an accordian on impact...and we can't have that with a baby on board.' Jami thought to herself.

Jami lowered herself into the seat, shifting comfortably as she turned the ignition. The small car roared to life. Jami eased it into reverse, backing up slowly. Then, she threw it into drive and peeled out of the parking lot laughing.

She pulled out onto a highway, that led to God knows where. She laughed to herself as the wind whipped her hair all over the place. She'd never get it detangled now.

After an hour of driving, exhaustion began to creep into her eyes. She blinked several times in an effort to get it to leave, but the wind just kept throwing it back into her eyes. The headlights of the other cars and Semi's began to blur into one long light, and a sense of panic rose in her chest.

She saw nothing but blackness, until a jolt wracked her body.
