Two hours had passed since they had last spoken. Matt was at the kitchen table,
pretending to read the paper. She was sitting on the floor, slumped against the
refridgerator, reading an issue of the WWE magazine.
Matt was peering at her through his thick lashes. He knew she was battling
extreme self pity as she saw the pictures of the Diva's in the magazine. It had
been five months since her injury. Five months of not working out had caused her
to lose some of her muscle defination. Staring at the women, her coworkers, who
looked perfect was reeking havoc on her self esteem and mind.
"Would you quit staring at me." Amy said, not looking up. "Why? You're
beautiful." Matt told her.
"Will you take me home now?" She asked, throwing the magazine down. Matt
exaggerated a yawn, "I think I'm to tired to drive all that way tonight. Would
you mind staying here." Matt asked.
Amy narrowed her eyes at him, knowing that it was an excuse to keep her there.
Sanford wasn't very far. "Fine, but I'll need a shirt of yours to sleep in." She
said.
Matt nodded and went to get one. He came back and threw her one of his Hardy
Boyz jersey's. "Thanks." Amy said before heading to the bathroom. He heard the
sink running and a few moments later Amy reappeared in his shirt, her red hair
pulled up into a messy ponytail, her face scrubbed free of makeup. And he
thought she looked incredibly beautiful.
***
She says "don't stare at me"
She's afraid that I might see
Those five extra pounds she's talking about
Man, I don't know what she's talking about
She looks through magazines
With every page she dreams of
Looking like somebody else
I wish she wasn't so hard on herself
Then she falls asleep with just my T-shirt on,
An' even when her hairs messed up and her make-up's gone
***
Matt shut the kitchen light off and led her to his bedroom. "I can sleep on the
couch if you want." he told her. Amy shook her head. "No, it's okay. I'd like to
sleep in your arms tonight." she said. Matt smiled and undressed down to his
boxers before sliding into the bed next to her. He wrapped his arms around her
and within minutes she was asleep.
Matt watched her through the dim moonlight. Even though Amy felt less than
beautiful lately, he thought she looked perfect. He could watch her forever.
***
You can't hide beautiful
You can't hide wonderful
There's nothing that she has to do
It just comes natural
She makes it look easy
I love what she does to me
No way to disguise
The way that she shines
You can't hide beautiful, oh no.

When morning came, Matt woke up to find Amy already up and prowling around in
the kitchen. When he entered Amy turned to him with an accusing look. "You are
an absolute pig."
He laughed, "You are just now noticing this? What am I a pig about now?" he
yawned as he sat the kitchen table. "These dirty dishes have been here since
Moses parted the red sea!" She told him, turning to scrub at a pot again.
Matt again foudn himself watching her. She was still in his Hardyz jersey, but
she made it look like some completely hip outfit. Her red hair was in a french
braid to keep it out of her face.
***
She can take a simple dress
Put it on and turn some heads
Man, every time she moves she gets me
She doesn't even know she's sexy
And the way she thinks sometimes
Out of nowhere, she blows my mind
She makes me laugh and makes me dream
I love the way she looks at things.
A little piece of heaven God gave to this world
She might think she's just an ordinary girl
***
"Would you stop looking at me." Amy commanded with her back to him. "I can't
help it. If you weren't so damn beautiful we wouldn't have this problem." he
told her.
"So it's my fault you can't keep your eyes in your head?" Amy asked. "yep, so
you better just knock it off." Matt laughed. Amy threw a sponge at him before
she giggled.
***
But you can't hide beautiful
You can't hide wonderful
There's nothing she has to do
It just comes natural
She makes it look easy
I love what she does to me
No way to disguise
The way that she shines
You can't hide beautiful, oh no
You can't hide beautiful
oh no.
***
"What if I dress up like some old wicked witch." She asked. "Still wouldn't
work." he told her.
"Why is that?" Amy asked. "Because you can't hide beautiful." Matt todl her. Amy
walked over to him and kissed him. "Thank you." was all she whispered. He didn't
bother to reply, his eyes said it all
***
She makes it look easy
I love what she does to me
No way to disguise
The way that she shines
You can't hide beautiful, oh no
You can't hide beautiful
She's so beautiful, oh yeah, yeah
Oh whoa, yeah
You can't hide beautiful.
