Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know yet *L*.
Summary: It's a story that has been on my mind for weeks now...and I finally wrote it out. I feel much better now.

Matt held Amy as she cried herself to near exhaustion. He knew that deep down it
would help. He felt helpless as he watched her go through her own personal hell.
She held everyone, all her friends and loved ones as far from her as possible.
All the while letting herself drown in pain.
He knew that she was wondering how long he's stick around for her. If he'd leave
her just when she needed him most. But Matt was strong, and he'd be there for
her til the day he died.

He'd told her all this before, but he also knew that she was afraid to believe
it. Afraid to trust in him to much. To come to depend on him, and then watch him
leave, taking her soul with him as he went.
She tested him in every way possible, and he even loved that. She drove him to
the edge, but then one smile from her would make the ledge disappear.
Somehow, someway, he was going to convince her that he was strong enough to be
her man.

"Amy, you know that I'm here for you, and that I always will be, right?" Matt
asked, pushing Amy's chin up so her eyes would meet his. "Amy?" He asked when
she didn't answer him.
"Matt, you deserve a girlfriend who isn't crippled." She said. Matt chuckled.
"Amy, you are far from crippled. Sure, you are sidelined from the things you
love for awhile, but that won't last forever. And I hate to tell you this, but
you aren't getting rid of me that easily. You'll need more than a broken neck to
do that." Matt joked.
Amy glared at him. "Are you mocking me?" she cried, pushing away from him. Matt
knew she expected him to just give up and walk out the door, but she was in for
a suprise. He was going to prove that he was strong enough to be her man.
